Caulking & Sealant Replacement

The first line of defense for the building envelope.

Caulking & Sealant Replacement

Sealant is what keeps water, air, and humidity out of the building envelope. In Florida, where wind-driven rain and salt air shorten material life, failed caulk is one of the leading causes of interior water damage, mold complaints, and thermal-pane fogging. Salt Line Building Group provides full re-caulking services, performed by rope-access technicians, on curtain walls, window perimeters, panel joints, and expansion joints.

Survey and scope

Before a single tube is opened, our team performs a documented sealant survey identifying failed joints, adhesive vs. cohesive failures, gun-grade vs. high-movement zones, and sealant compatibility with substrates and coatings.

Materials we install

We work with engineered silicone, polyurethane, and hybrid sealant systems from Dow, Sika, Tremco, Pecora, and GE. Material selection is matched to joint movement class, substrate, exposure, and required warranty.

Workmanship standards

Two-sided adhesion, proper backer rod sizing, primer where required by the manufacturer, and tooling to a uniform concave profile. We document each elevation with start/end photos to support warranty claims.
