Metal & Stone Restoration

Restoring the architectural details that make a building memorable.

Metal & Stone Restoration

Architectural metal and stone are the design statement of most premium buildings — and they're also the most exposed. Stainless entry frames pit, bronze handrails patina, anodized aluminum chalks, and limestone and granite façades darken with biological growth. Our restoration crews bring back the original finish without grinding away material the building can't afford to lose.

Architectural metals

Each metal type has its own chemistry and abrasive program. Aggressive techniques that work on stainless can destroy anodized aluminum or bronze.

  • Stainless steel — descaling, oxidation removal, finish matching to #4 or mirror
  • Anodized aluminum — gentle re-cleaning and re-coating systems
  • Bronze and brass — patina control, lacquer stripping, and re-coating
  • Painted and powder-coated metal — touch-up and full re-coat coordination

Stone façades

Limestone, granite, marble, travertine, and cast stone each have their own care plan. We perform low-pressure biological cleaning, poultice stain removal, joint repair, and breathable consolidant or sealer application.

Protective coatings

We finish most metal restoration with a protective wax or sacrificial coating that slows future oxidation and makes routine cleaning easier — extending intervals between full restorations.
